Delete Your Account
If you linked an account in Punigo (ぷに碁, operated by nemusoft) by signing in with Apple or Google, this page explains how to delete that account and the records saved in the cloud. If you never linked an account, your records are stored only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.
Delete in the app
- Open Punigo and go to Settings.
- Tap Account Linking › Delete Account.
- Tap Continue › Delete to confirm. If you are asked to confirm your sign-in, sign in with the linked account.
If you use family profiles, Account Linking appears when you switch to the profile marked “Main.” Deleting the account also deletes the cloud records of every family profile. Even if you deleted the app, you can reinstall it, sign in with the same account, and follow these steps.
If you can't use the app (request by email)
If you can't delete your account in the app, send an email from the email address of the account you signed in with to support@punigo.app with the subject “Account deletion.” In the message, tell us how you signed in (Apple or Google).
We confirm that the request is yours from the sender's address, delete the account within 30 days of receiving the request, and reply to let you know when it's done.
If you chose Hide My Email with Apple, the address you signed in with is a forwarding address Apple created (…@privaterelay.appleid.com). Send the email from your usual address and include the forwarding address in the message. We will send a confirmation to the forwarding address; please reply to it.
Data that is deleted
- Your account (the sign-in record: the account identifier and email address, plus the name and profile picture URL if you linked a Google account)
- Progress, settings, game records, and Progress Report history saved in the cloud, for every family profile
- The count of narrated review videos you created (kept for the daily limit)
Deleted data cannot be restored. It may remain in our recovery records for up to 7 days, after which it is deleted automatically.
Data that is kept
- Records on your device: Deleting your account does not delete them. To remove them, delete the app. On Android, if device backup is on, your records may also stay in your Google Account backup and come back when you reinstall the app.
- Punigo Plus subscription: Deleting your account does not cancel it. If you don't want to continue, cancel it first in the App Store or Google Play. Purchase records (purchase identifiers, purchase dates, and expiration dates) are kept by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat, which manages subscription status, to verify purchases and for accounting.
- Usage data and crash reports: These are not linked to your account, so deleting your account does not delete them. Usage data is deleted automatically after up to 14 months, and crash reports after 90 days. You can turn off sending them at any time in the app under Settings › Privacy Settings.
For details, see our Privacy Policy.
